our story
Pronexia was founded in 2010 by two women with a vision of raising the standards in a tough industry. We’ve come a long way, have built a world-class team, have inspired a true following, and are ready to shake the industry up once again!
Marina Byezhanova and Moranne Elarar had a vision of a new recruitment firm unlike any on the market. They left their cushy, corner-office jobs and launched Pronexia in the midst of tough economic times and each with a newborn in arm, with zero clients, contacts, or stability.
Early pioneers of prioritizing candidate experience and hiring people for people (instead of companies), Pronexia held values which they (really) lived by – and companies who had gotten on board began to take notice.
Eventually, Byezhanova and Elarar moved out from their basement office, eased up on the endless microwaved noodles for lunch, and began to build the team. Early members on the business development, account management, and recruitment teams had grown into key roles within the organization, remaining members today. A second satellite office in Vancouver was opened. Headhunting and recruitment services evolved into a full-force marketing machine with the launch of Montreal’s first-ever conference series on the topic of company culture.
While the days of microwaved noodles are far gone, a relentless commitment to our values remains: transparency, integrity, and a drive to continuously innovate have heavily influenced the company’s success. Today, you might find the team’s founders speaking at conferences, meetups, or to university classrooms across the globe – keeping it real at all times, of course.
Part headhunting firm, part company-culture consultancy, part content machine: Pronexia continues to innovate our industry – and we have a ton of fun in the process.

Moranne Elarar Founder
Moranne. How to even begin to describe a woman whose prevailing characteristic is a deeply intangible one, an elusive but powerful “spark” of sorts that is both disarming and admirable?
-
Marina Byezhanova Co-Founder
Marina. Her ten years (and counting) experience in recruitment has led her to become not only widely-known in the field, but widely-admired by anyone who has had the fortune of coming into contact with her.

You’ll first be drawn by his radio voice. Then his personality. And inevitably, his work ethic.

Stefano Faustini. Remember that name because you’ll be hearing more of it.

Stephane is the ultimate embodiment of being multifaceted (in the best ways).

Much like the rest of the Pronexia crew, Daniel’s journey to the company has been an unexpected and incredible one.
-
Arnavi Mehta Coordinator, Talent Strategy
